Site Redesign again...

The more I looked at last year's redesign, the less I liked it as I feel I wasn't folloiwng my usual KISS principle on website design. Thus a simpler design and a simpler code execution that I took inspiration from a favorite webcomic's site, Earthsong. Anyway, so what's been up with me, quite a few things actually. I'm still teaching, but in July my fiance moved in with me and in August we got a two-bedroom apartment together. So far so good on that end. Also I participated in a manga/comic contest this year put on by Drowtales, and not only did I actually complete my entry, I won third place with it! Here's the full entry, and you can also view it with commentary in the Other Comics section: Other than that I am trying to get my own comic going, so stay tuned for character sketches and whatnot as I work out some kinks in my art and the story... Recent Art Update...

Author: Jaibyrd :: Posted: Fri Jan 18, 2008 1:02 pm Had a wonderful holidays with my fiance who came out to visit me for X-mas and New Years and brave my family to ask for my hand in marriage. Wow, I'm engaged, weird! I thought I'd never find someone who would accept me with all of my quirks and whatnot, so it still seems rather strange that I've found someone who loves me for who I am and I love him back for who he is in every way. I've never felt this comfortable around someone in my life. However, I am getting annoyed now that I am engaged that people keep asking about when we're getting married. I have no clue, I'm not a common female (if you know me you know why) and it isn't like I'm in any rush. Ah well, anyway... Here's some art I've gotten done recently even though I still don't have the art section up on this new site. Maybe this weekend.... maybe not... Most of the art is inspired from Drowtales' Path to Power Challenge game I've currently got a character involved in. It's a really great RPG-ish game and if you like Drow, do check it out.
