Strangely enough I spent a few hours on Ebay last night hunting up some things I wondered about. Some I found, some I didn't. Some I even wonder if it wasn't just a strange figment of my imagination.
1) Winds of Change. This movie is actually available! It is the tale of 5 Greek myths by a popular Japanese Animation company in the late 70's (78 I think) and set to popular music of the time... so mostly disco. But it was a film I saw something like 9 times when i was a lad.
2)Thundar the Barbarian. Enough talk woman, WE RIDE! DEMON DOGS!!! heh heh heh If you don't know anything about this late 70's Hannah Barbara cartoon you simply don't know what you are missing. Think "He Man" meets "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" and you get a loose feel for Thundar.
3)Thundercats & Silverhawks. Okay, YES these are the top of the cheeze list! But I still love 'em! And as far as I know you can't get the full series for either. Which sucks more than a little.
4) Goldar. A spin off on the principle of Thundar also by H/B studios. Early 80's I believe. I don't remember much about the series but it was pretty cool.
5) Spiderman & his Amazing Friends. Why? Because of Firestar of course. She is one of those "lost" X-Stories that never really got told in Marvel comics, not until the New Warriors, which as a title sucked mad hinder. And the X-Men of course made a couple of appearances in the series. Could hardly be avoided as Iceman was one of the amazing Friends.
6) Mighty Orbots! A join Canadian/Japanese venture that was a really cool cartoon series about sentient robots that could pull the Voltron thing and become the giant Mighty Orbot!
7) Starchaser: the Legend of Orin. An animated movie that was really keen as the 2nd lead character (a scoundrel by the name of Dag Debrimi) is an animated Han Solo. And come on, you can't go wrong by imitating Harrison Ford!
8) And lastly... Tales of the Galaxy Rangers. More or less for the opening animation and themesong. GREAT themesong! But the series had some real potential, even though it was cheeze-tastic! heh heh heh
And that's my list.

My brother reminded me of a series I'd love to see on DVD as well: Reboot. Man I loved that series...

How about the REAL old Yogi Bear cartoons. Anyone realize how totally politically INCORRECT those early cartoons are? Sure, they make a big deal about Warner Brothers studios and the war movement cartoons. But seriously, Yogi has some pretty adult undercurrents if you watch the earlier stuff. And those cartoons are still a riot.
And Centurions? POWER X-TREME! Cool toon.
But as for what has already been mentioned... Pirates of Darkwater. Another great series, but MAN do I hate monkey-Birds! lol
Tiny Toons & Animaniacs?! Well of course! I've got a few video tapes of nothing but. Fi Fi La Fume... gotta love that kid! Goodfeathers? THATS IT!!! heh heh heh and the songs they have for each series are awesome, especially Animaniacs.
Gargoyles and Reboot... DAMN skippy! I'd sell body parts to have a complete boxed set released for these fantastic animated marvels. Which would be expensive (Gargolyles went a long time, reboot lasted what... 2 years?) but well worth it!
The rest... not my style. Certainly not the Gummies! lol That show reminded me of a Smurfs ripoff, BUT I'd give it watch if someone sat me down. I'm a junkie for animated series.

Well, just as an update, someone might have heard us whining as there are quite a few series from our lists that I've seen out on DVD recently:
I have seen Gargoyles, but apparently they stopped putting it out because no one was buying it - which amazes me considering how many fans of Gargoyles there are out there...
Others I have seen include Ducktales, Darkwing Duck (saw that and nearly died), Tailspin (Really died seeing that), Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers (which shall amuse all the people majorly into Gadget) Thundercats, Inspector Gadget, the Tick (SPOOOON!!).
All I have to say to this is: I need more money.
