The Right Hand is Chosen HorusRe looks up from his meditation, his keen senses picking up the slight tremble in the Wyrd. His hazel eyes focus on the horizon and he knows that the time has come at last.
"And so the circle is closed. The teacher is now the student and the Knights of the Odd Republic have the required number within the inner most sanctum. I am no longer alone."

Standing from the center of the temple HorusRe raises his own wyrdsaber over his long, auburn tresses. Lighting the purple shaft of energy he salutes the Eastern column and holds the weapon aloft for several moments. Becoming a living beacon of pride and hope for a future that even he cannot know.
"I honor thee Angel. Champion of the Knights of the Wyrd. First among equals and teacher of the arts of patience and joy. Guardian of the 2nd Gate of the Temple. My right hand. My chosen. Welcome into the inner circle and be blessed with thy color. May your azure Wyrdsaber be a sign for all to see.
He lowers his saber and smiles softly.
"So mote it be."

The tranquility is disturbed... The Master Knight looks up from his moment of silent contemplation of the distant sunrise. Something in the Wyrd shifting his attention from the infinite beauty of the purples, pinks, and myriad pastel hues painted across the morning sky.
“Who dares disturb my morning reflections?” he asks in a voice tinged with caution. His keen senses already alerting him to the danger of the approach.
A figure steps silently from the shadows near the southern pillar. The swirling chaotic colors of its Wyrdsaber giving all the indication that this is a threat. To not only his tranquillity but to his very life.
“I dare,” the dark robed figure says in a hiss. The hood falling back as it stands fully erect. Still several feet shorter than the tall Master Knight, the creature carries itself like a warrior. And HorusRe knows that this is Aka, the servant of darkness. One of the Slither Lords… a vile sect of renegade Wyrd Users that corrupt the very essence of the Wyrd to their own dark designs. “We meet at last Re. I have been looking forward to this for a long time.”
Aka speaks in a voice that is neither male nor female. The sex of the being has never been proven and it makes a point of continuing this air of mystery. Re chuckles as he turns to face the slowly approaching Slither. For though the uncertainty of sex may cause some lesser warriors to pause HorusRe knows no such hesitation.
“Come then Aka of the Slither. Come and face the Master of Knights. Come and taste my wrath.”
Re lights his Wyrdsaber and lifts it before him in a salute. Peering past the deep purple of the weapon with eyes that laugh at the Slither Lord. Eyes that mock everything about the gender-bending false Wyrd user under a gaze of calm humor.
The black clad warrior bellows and begins to scream a long string of meaningless taunts and threats. Each shout of anger and frustration followed closely by a wild swing of the kaleidoscope of colors that twist and play within it’s Wyrdsaber. But each such blow is turned aside with the ease of a man waving away an annoying gnat. The clash of the Wyrdsabers creating violent flashes which light up the Temple and much of the surrounding countryside.
“YOU CAN NEVER WIN RE! I HAVE LORDS THAT SHALL RAIN FIRE AND DEATH DOWN UPON YOU! I HAVE SERVENTS THAT SHALL REND YOUR TEMPLE AND SEND YOUR WHOLE ORDER INTO THE COORIDOORS OF OBLIVION!”
The Master Knight merely chuckles as he bats the continuing attacks away with a casual disregard that seems almost comical. Every now and then he twirls the violet weapon in his fingers before blocking another wild falling blow. The feet of the Master Knight not moving more than a few inches since the battle started.
“Sure you will Aka,” he scoffs. “Because everybody knows that you have immediate access to that kind of power. Somehow Slither Lord, I am far from impressed.”
A serious pall falls over Re’s face as he turns another blow aside. “But for all those that you have corrupted there must be a reckoning.” As his words end HorusRe moves with a speed unlike any normal human can hope to attain. Such is the power and beauty of the true Wyrd. And in a streak of violet light the hand of Aka that once held the chaotic shaft of energy lays on the cobblestone of the Temple floor. Cleanly removed in a single circular swing. The blow marked in the air by a lingering trail that resembles a purple wave of sheer power. A blow that ends only inches away from the androgynous face of the surprised opponent.
“You should have learned from the last time one of you Slither’s tried to attack a Knight of the Odd Republic. We don’t forgive and we don’t forget.”
The ebony figure looks about to plead for mercy when Re winks softly and then spins on his toes. The Wyrdsaber he holds flashing out in a complete circle and leaving him standing in the center of a neon purple ring. A moment later the head of the defeated Slither Lord drops beside the hand that was also lost.
“Next time,” the Master says as he snuffs his Wyrdsaber. “Take my advice and bring more backup. You Slither Lords are lousy fighters and worse liars!”
Looking around with amusement Re realizes that their numbers are only two. Where once he would have asked a lesser Knight to clean up the mess he now finds that it is his duty and his alone.
“Well don’t THAT just beat all,” he chuckles. “All my power and prestige and I’m still taking out my own trash.”
Silently, snickering to himself at the situation, he carries the fallen body off the side of the Temple and leaves it in a fire-pit not far away. Hoping that some local predatory beasts will scavenge the meal and scatter the bones.
“Nothing better than a dead Slither.”
His musing go unheard as he is alone again. Turning to face the sunrise he finds it has already passed its grand color phase, a fact that makes his curse silently and shoot a glare over at the distant corpse.
“You owe me a perfect sunrise you imp of Nalgas!”
But then the silence of the grove returns and gives HorusRe, Master Knight of the Odd Republic, his tranquillity again.

Reasoning for the musings Recent events at another site have got me JUST pissed off enough to want to lay the SMACKDOWN on some idiot kids. :wink: And I thought to myself; I said "Self, what better way to release some frustration than to just ice the punk?"
So here I came. And with Wyrdsaber in hand I put the stand-in for my irritation to the sword! Now THAT is therapy! heh heh heh
